Application Process

We invite all prospective students to our online information session about the MA program ‘Social and Cultural Anthropology’ on April 11 at 2 pm - 4 pm (CET) via Zoom. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the program, admission requirements, and ask any questions you may have.

To apply for the Master's programm in Social and Cultural Anthropology, you need to submit the following documents through the online application system:

  1. Motivation letter: Essay (600 words).
  2. Certified Bachelor's Diploma & Transcript of Records (with translation if applicable)
  3. Proof of English language proficiency equivalent to/higher than B2 (CEFR) 
  4. APS certificate (only necessary for applications from India, China, Vietnam and Mongolia)

The application for the upcoming Winter Term 2025/26 on the online platform HISinOne will be open from the 1th of March 2025 at 8:00 (CET) on and closes on September the 15th at 23:59 (CET).

Please note that the sooner you apply, the sooner we can get back to you with a final decision (admission or rejection).
