Save the date: Wir feiern 20 Jahre Tandem-Forschung / we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the reciprocal tandem research training

Liebe alle,
am 19. Juli 2024 möchten wir feiern, dass das Tandem-Lehrforschungsmodell seit 20 Jahren von den ethnologischen Instituten der Uni Freiburg und der Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Yogyakarta in kontinuierlichem Wechsel in Indonesien und Deutschland umgesetzt wird.
Zeitenweise waren auch die Politikwissenschaft/Internationale Beziehungen beider Universitäten sowie die Hasanuddin University in Makassar, die University of Indonesia in Jakarta und die Universität Basel beteiligt. Unzählige Abschlussarbeiten, etliche gemeinsame Publikationen, wertvolle Forschungserfahrungen und langanhaltende Freundschaften gingen daraus hervor. Als kollaboratives Lehr- und Forschungsmodell hat es
viele andere Projekte inspiriert und trägt weiterhin zu einer reziproken und dekolonialen Lehr- und Forschungspraxis bei.
Viele Menschen waren seit 2004 an diesem Projekt beteiligt – Studierende, Forschungsteilnehmende, Koordinator*innen, Dozierende, Unterstützer*innen, Geldgeber*innen. Wir möchten alle zu einer Jubiläumsfeier – in hybridem Format - einladen:

Online: ein Zoom link wird rechtzeitig an angemeldete Teilnehmende verschickt.
Anschließend möchten wir mit den Gästen, die vor Ort sein können, im Garten des
Ethno-Instituts weiterfeiern.
Wir bitten um ANMELDUNG (mit Angabe, ob es sich um digitale oder Präsenz-Teilnahme

Safe the date: 20th anniversary of the reciprocal tandem research training
Dear all,
On July 19, 2024, we would like to celebrate that the reciprocal tandem research training has been practiced for 20 years by the anthropological institutes of the University of Freiburg and the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta in continuous rotation in Indonesia and Germany. At times, Political Science/International Relations both Universities as well as the Hasanuddin University in Makassar, the University of Indonesia in Jakarta and the University
of Basel were also involved.
This resulted in countless theses, numerous joint publications, valuable research experiences and long-lasting friendships. As a collaborative teaching and research model, it has inspired many other projects and continues to contribute to a reciprocal and decolonial teaching and research practice.
Many people have been involved in this project since 2004 - students, research participants, coordinators, lecturers, supporters, donors. We would like to invite everyone to an anniversary celebration – in a hybrid format:

Afterwards we would like to continue celebrating in the garden of the Anthropology Institute
